Almost Done!

Good morning everyone! It's Thursday morning and it's incredibly hard to believe that the first semester of the 2012-2013 school year is almost half over. Next week at this time finals will begin. Study hard and be sure to reference your study guides and/or vocabulary packets to help you study.

Half Way!!

We're almost half way through the first semester already... it's so hard to believe!! This semester has been busy, and full... to say the least.

In History 1, the students are beginning a new unit on industrialization in the Western U.S. We're talking about railroads, big business, and the robber barons.

In P.O.D., we are smack in the middle of the 2012 Etown Mock Election. Mr. Mussmon's class is representing the PA GOP candidate for U.S. Senate, Tom Smith. The students are doing a great job so far.

Happy Holidays

Well guys, it's the last day for us teachers here at Etown HS. I decided to take some time to finally update my blog since it's been quite a long time.

I hope everyone has a safe and Merry Christmas and New Years. Enjoy yourselves, and be ready to get to it when we get back!

Interesting...

I finally got a chance to catch up on news and what's happening in education this morning. I came across an interesting article from the New York Times about a bill that was recently passed in the State of California requiring schools to teach about the accomplishments of homosexual Americans. Now I completely agree that we should honor all people in our country, but I imagine some controversy over this particular article/bill. Check it out and comment if you feel led!

I was checking out my cousin's twitter page yesterday and came across a tweet from him about this new thing called "spotify." Sounded sort of ridiculous, so I decided to research it a bit. It's actually pretty cool. For all you music lovers out there who want to get the latest tunes streamed directly to you for a very small fee, it's perfect. Check out this article from CNN this morning about it.
